Now hiring: we are hiring a furniture maker in Richmond County, New York. The role involves finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw; assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops; measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails. Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
