Vacancy available: brick mason (Connecticut)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick mason in Western Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will work at a groundworks and structures site. Day-to-day duties: • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
