Immediate opening: pipe tig welder (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Wabash County, Illinois. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. You will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Full-time with occasional weekends.
