Vacancy available: we are hiring a garment machinist in Hancock County, Maine. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. You will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. You should have: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
