Rough terrain crane operator — Tafawa-Balewa

Great opportunity: we are hiring a rough terrain crane operator in Tafawa-Balewa, Bauchi State. The job is at a shipbuilding yard. Day-to-day duties: • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines What we are looking for: • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. ₦200,000 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
