Great opportunity: we are hiring a floor screeder in Cherokee County, North Carolina. On a typical shift you will compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer. You should have: • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
