GMAW welder • Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Day to day you will grind back and re-weld any defective runs; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls.
