Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Jackson County, Michigan. You will work on a road and bridge project. The role involves float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days. Ideal candidate: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
