Now hiring: we are hiring a tube and fitting scaffolder in Obio/Akpor, Rivers State. You will be based at a shipyard. You will hoist tubes, boards and fittings up by gin wheel and rope; fit guardrails, mid-rails and toe boards to every working platform; inspect couplers, boards and tubes for damage before use; handle, sort and stack tubes and fittings for loading out; tighten right-angle and swivel couplers to torque with a podger spanner; set out base plates and sole boards on firm, level ground. Ideal candidate: • Full use of harness, lanyard and fall-arrest equipment • Able to read basic scaffold drawings • Good head for heights and comfortable on open platforms Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
