Rigger — Furnas County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a rigger in Furnas County, Nebraska. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Confident with standard crane hand signals Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
