Garment machinist — Shendam

Immediate opening: we are hiring a garment machinist in Shendam, Plateau State. Day to day you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens 4+ years on the tools preferred.
