Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Morehouse Parish, Louisiana. The job is on an industrial construction site. Day to day you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day 4+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts.
