Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job We offer $3,700 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
