Elevator repair technician wanted in Santa Cruz County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Santa Cruz County, California. The job is in a residential tower block. Day-to-day duties: • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear Requirements: • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics We offer $28 per hour plus benefits.
