Immediate opening: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Marengo County, Alabama. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Day to day you will set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. What we are looking for: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $28 per hour plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
