Steam press operator • Juniata County, Pennsylvania

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steam press operator in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory On the job you will handle: • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Give each garment a final press before packing Part-time with flexible hours.
