Foundry operative • Lake County, Michigan

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Lake County, Michigan. The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
