Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Washington County, Vermont. Day to day you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Pay around $160 per day, based on your experience.
