Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Midland County, Michigan. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. On a typical shift you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
