We are recruiting: we are hiring a D6/D8 dozer operator in Amite County, Mississippi. The job is on a dam or embankment job. You should have: • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant You will work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving; strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse.
