Vacancy available: argon welder (North Carolina)

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Rockingham County, North Carolina. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. You will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
