Great opportunity: sand plant operator (South Dakota)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Mellette County, South Dakota. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts You will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
