Great opportunity: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Lake County, Colorado. What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard The role involves: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
