Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in White County, Arkansas. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. What we are looking for: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Day-to-day duties: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear Part-time with flexible hours.
