Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Your main tasks: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
