Pipe TIG welder wanted in Harrison County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Harrison County, Iowa. You will work in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Day to day you will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
