Now hiring: we are hiring a VMC operator in Martin County, Minnesota. You will work at a precision engineering workshop. Requirements: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Day-to-day duties: • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter Rotating shifts.
