Argon arc welder wanted in Shelby County

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Shelby County, Texas. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Your main tasks: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
