Immediate opening: we are hiring a confectioner in McKean County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. The role involves weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; load and unload the deck oven with a peel; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards. What we are looking for: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • 2+ years' experience as a baker Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $4,400 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
