Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Sherman County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates The role involves form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
