Vacancy available: we are hiring a tower crane operator in City of Richmond, Virginia. The job is in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. You should have: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Current medical and eyesight certificate On a typical shift you will watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
