Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Pawnee County, Kansas. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. The role involves read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
