Counter butcher — Bridgend county borough

Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in Bridgend county borough, Wales. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. On the job you will handle: • Season and marinate meat on request • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings You should have: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
