Refrigeration field service technician wanted in Allegheny County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a refrigeration field service technician in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a supermarket cold-chain site. Ideal candidate: • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • 2+ years hands-on experience in refrigeration and AC Day to day you will measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch; check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge; fault-find control boards and defrost timers; service split AC units and VRF systems; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture. Six days a week, one day off. $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
