Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Bridgend county borough, Wales. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. The role involves weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. What we are looking for: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Six days a week, one day off.
