Bar bender and fixer • Orkney Islands, Scotland

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Orkney Islands, Scotland. You will work at a precast concrete yard. You will read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions. Ideal candidate: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
