Now hiring: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Furnas County, Nebraska. You will work in a meat processing plant. You should have: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers Day to day you will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
