Bar bender and fixer • Dale County, Alabama

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Dale County, Alabama. Day to day you will keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. Requirements: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
