Foundry labourer — Erie County

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Erie County, Ohio. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day to day you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours.
