Great opportunity: core maker (Lagos State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Eti Osa, Lagos State. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Your main tasks: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
