Elevator service technician — Newport County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an elevator service technician in Newport County, Rhode Island. The job is at a busy lift company. The role involves: • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments Requirements: • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
