We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
