Your main tasks: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Read lift plans and method statements before starting Requirements: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams 1+ years on the tools preferred.
