Day to day you will keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock. Ideal candidate: • Valid digital tachograph card • Current Driver CPC qualification card 3+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
