Tailor machinist — Rockbridge County

Join our team: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Rockbridge County, Virginia. You will work in a small denim manufacturing unit. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line The role involves set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
