Foundry operative • Hardin County, Ohio

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Hardin County, Ohio. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal We offer $3,100 per month plus benefits. Six days a week, one day off.
