Immediate opening: we are hiring a captain waiter in Santa Cruz County, California. The job is at a busy restaurant. Requirements: • Ability to work fast under pressure during peak service • Basic numeracy for handling cash, bills and change • Ability to carry loaded trays and stay on your feet for long shifts Day-to-day duties: • Carry loaded trays and serve plated dishes to the right table • Polish glasses, cutlery and crockery during mise en place • Explain the day's specials and recommend dishes • Take food and drink orders on the POS terminal or order pad • Upsell starters, desserts and beverages • Lay table covers with cutlery, napkins, glassware and crockery 4+ years on the tools preferred.
