Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Hancock County, Maine. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On the job you will handle: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Six days a week, one day off.
