We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Machina, Yobe State. The job is on a high-rise building site. Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles On a typical shift you will read lift plans and method statements before starting; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift.
