Immediate opening: we are hiring a cement mason in Barton County, Missouri. The job is at a ready-mix concrete plant. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet The role involves cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
